couple of questions for the more informed.how long can i expect a plant to be at its productive best? when is the best time to replant the new shoots? and finally. when can i cut back on this years foliage.

They recommend that the plants should be changed after three years to maintain their vigor.

Pin down runners in pots to layer them, once established and rooted well, they can be severed from the parent, put into a cold frame for the winter, then plant out in the spring, once the frosts have gone.

Cut back foliage as it starts to wither or looks diseased.
