i think it is the copper from the water. i get it so much. i find a deck scrub helps and i use mr.shine shower spray. it realy does work. leave the spray on while you do the rest of the housework and scrub this last. it'll come right off.

Thanks !
I think that its the ingredients in shampoo soaps etc, my son dosnt use any toiletries (beacuse of exzema)and this never happens around the bath, but the shower we use does get a build up, sometimes its pink though.  I find using mr muscle bathroom cleaner does the job.
It could be the coloured clorine or anti-bactiaral the water companies feed us,otherwise clean with bleach&nailbrush
Not sure but I think it is due to a mould/fungus which grows on the remains of soaps etc. Best way (although time consuming) is to thoroughly rinse and dry the shower after use and keep the room well ventilated.
