We have a lot of "Lords and Ladies" in our wild garden and due to their toxicity they have to go, they are all just coming up now, is now the best time to apply a weed killer for maximum effect?

With any herbicide, the best time to apply (other than the pre-emergence type) is during the fast growing cycle of the plant. It takes up more of the chemical and will be more effective. Additionally, it's recommended that it be applied on warm days as opposed to cold and/or rainy days...
