I am thinking of getting a Leaf Blower/Vacuum and I wondered if I could use the vacuum on gravel to lift leaves without having to blow them of a path first.
Thanks in advance

I suspect you would need a specialist vaccum as a household one would not be happy picking up large wet damp leaves.
Richard, read the question again lol.
IMO it depends how big the gravel is - light gravel will be lifted by a vacuum.
I used mine to collect leaves off a decorative stone area a couple of days ago,I just made sure it wasn't held to near the stones.I only use it on dry leaves as i think wet leaves may not be safe passing through the mulcher.
The one I've got won't pick up gravel but it doesn't pick up leafs very well either! A waste of money imo. I use the mower these days with the blade lifted right up.
Give it a try. We have Stihl machines which are pretty powerful and will suck up gravel which damages the fan, so use a blower or wire leaf rake.

Good idea ,Never thought of that D97
Agree with landscaper, they're a waste of money. My Granny could suck better and my uncle certainly blows better.
Hi, I have a powerful old B&D garden vac with a 15cm pick up, it clears up leaves no problem and any gravel it lifts drops back to the floor, some garden vacs have to narrow a tube which will pull up gravel as well , and can damage the impeller, I'm afraid you will just have to try it and be ready to switch of quickly if yours is incompatable with gravel . I wouldn't be without mine but as previously answered some are a total waste of money
