Urgent decision needs to be made by 5pm! So no pressure!
House is nearly finished and decorators have changed the order of rooms - so instead of 4 days to decide on a scheme for our lounge - I have 2 hours!!!!

Any ideas anyone???

House is very light - modern - lounge has large sliding glass door for one entire wall - plus a modern gas pebble fire.

Sofas are choc brown and floor is light oak.

HELP! What would you do?

Would prefer paint - rather than wallpaper. Happy to have more than one colour or tone!
Any ideas???

Magnolia.
oatmeal and pistachio or coffee and metallic copper
A hummous cream which would go well with the floor and the sofas.
Deep burgundy on a feature wall and a warm gold on the rest.
"oatmeal"
"hummous cream"

Yeah ... magnolia, lol ;-)
naznomad i think it's easy to see which answerbankers have missed lunch!
haha ...
Another woman would understand completely...soft oatmeal is a neutral between off white and beige...a lot classier than magnolia...and as easy to live with
here's a site that might help you decide

"between off white and beige."

Yeah ... magnolia. :-P
no magnolia is in the peach family of colours beiges are cooler
duck egg blue or a mid-shade of turquoise. I have this colour (duck egg blue one one living room wall, and a brighter turquoise in my bedroom - and it looks fab.) It goes great with brown and wood.

Hmmm.. so food based colours or not - other than the Magnolia suggestion (BLEURGH) you all seem to think beiges, creams would be best - and super neutral too!

My split second decision is something like this...

ooh Salla I was thinking of turquoise in the bedroom... to complement the brown leather bed! Sounds nice!
nice choice and you can use deep aubergine as a highlight with vases etc
You have to look at it every day, take no notice of us, lol.
any kind of soft beige/cream then funk it up with accrssories
choc chip cookies and after eights
We used similar colours once in the kitchen and it looked a bit like those boards that you plaster over....not good at all, we painted over it. I like salla's idea of the duck egg blue (I've never seen a blue duck egg though)
Duck egg on feature wall with other walls neutral. Gold and/or teal cushions/rug.

Or green on feature wall to bring the outside in and gold and green accesories.
