Hoover repair

I wonder if anyone could kindly help.

I have a Hoover Vortex 1500.

It looks as if the belt is in need of replacement but I can't seen to get at it.

Any advice gratefully received.

Is there anything in the user manual? If you have mislaid the manual try getting in touch with Hoover and see if they can send you one for your model. Their contact details are here:
