Ah ok then Cheers anyway. Phil
When I stripped off the (many) layers of wallpaper on my living room walls (put on by previous owners), one of the middle layers was blown vinyl, so I assume it can be done?
hire an industrial wallpaper stripper for a few days and remove it all.
Hi placey, there is no way I would wallpaper over blown vinyl, but the stuff comes off very easily. Usually you can just grab a piece of the stuff at the bottom of the wall and it will come off in one. Then it is just a case of wetting and removing the lining paper that will still be on the wall. Putting the blown vinyl itself on the floor before you do the latter saves a lot of mess as you can scrape the lining paper off the walls and just roll it into the blown vinyl. Shouldn't take too long. Rented house or not you have to live in it and look at the walls.
if you dont have to many layers on why dont you colour emulsion the ceiling and walls not to mach work to do that hth Tez
sorry white the ceiling colour the walls Tez
i wouldn't have thought it wouldlook very good and are you sure you are allowed to do it? Don't go getting in any trouble - I bet blown vinyl is up so the landlord can just emulsion it when necessary. Get permission and paint if I were you.
it will be fine if you paper over it using MDF

Watch out. The blown vinyl might be covering over large cracks and other defects!
