I have an idea of building something and need software that can build it but dont know to use that software or even where to get that software. How would I go about searching for an illistrator or an architect?

Software programs like Autocad are highly complex and take a lot of training and experience to use them to their full advantage.
As for finding an architect, have you thought of looking in Yellow Pages?
Many architectural firms will know of an illustrator who they use to portray their projects..

You can get a free 2D CAD package from Siemens, and its pretty good.

What you need is an architectural draughtsman, they usually advertise in the small ads in local newspapers and while they are not as innovative as architects they are a great deal cheaper. They also have to submit their plans to the local authority for checking, so you can be quite confident that they will be safe. Good luck.
