diy in an old building

if you wanted to attach security cameras in an old building and cause minimal damage what would be the best way? is it better to drill into the mortar between bricks rather than the actual brick or would it be best to drill into a door frame or something like that? i really have no idea any suggestions would be great

Better to drill into the brick rather than the mortar, especially if is old mortar.
