can i use unleaded petrol in a generator that requires leaded petrol

If it actually requires leaded petrol then to use unleaded you will need to use a lead sustitute, try a car spares shop, Halfords may have it. If it requires over 95 octane patrol, unlikely though, you will need to use super unleaded. You may need to give it a clean with redex first.

Is it a very old generator, could you try the manufacturers or dealers for help.
