I have recently purchased a 5ft by 3ft pool tabel, and also a 10mm clear acrylic sheet to use as a table top - when I'm not playing pool. I am looking for a nice easy way to connect this top to the cushions of the pool table, so it can easily be removed when necessary. At the moment the only idea I have is suction pads, but I'm not sure how these would attach to the cushions. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated !!!

Self-adhesive bits of velcro?
Does it need to stick down to the table or just rest on top? If it doesn't need to stick, I'd say try some adhesive felt protector thingies that you get to put on the feet of furniture to stop them scratching your wooden/laminate floors. Any hardware store or JohnLewis etc. will stock them.
To save any damage to the top and to stop the sheet sliding, you could fix some other pieces of acrylic (or something else) to the underside so that they fit just inside the cushions, say two on each side and one on each end. This way the acrylic top will just be sitting on the table top but won't slide anywhere and you won't cause any damage with velcro or suckers.
