I have recently aquired a woodturning lathe & was astonished at the amount of fine dust which had accumulated in the short time .I was wondering if anyone had made up a home made dust extractor ,Maybe just a box at the back of the lathe with a hoover motor or fan & a pipe leading out to the back of the shed .Anyone got any ideas perhaps a small sketch attached Thanks in anticipation

Thanks Heathfield I think the last tip would be most suitable, Idont have a lot of room between the lathe & the shed wall, I was toying with the idea of using the motor out of a Dyson cleaner set up behind a filte r in a box butths would be sucking through the motor which would soon block up It seems to work ok in cylinder cleaners as long as the bag is emptied & the filter cleaned regularly ,An extractor fan would be another idea .Will give it plenty thought whatever Thanks again
