If it is the timer programmer that is faulty and not a Zone valve they are cheap enough to replace - 20 to 30
It is easy to fix if you know what type of system you have and which system control has malfunctioned and needs replacing. It could be the programmer (timer), the motorised valve, the cylinder stat or the pump and many more things ??? But they are all easily replaced by a competent heating engineer.
