Can anyone help?

The cooker in the house my husband and I rent is broken - the 2 largest rings don't heat up properly.

My landlord has taken measurements, and the cooker has a depth of about 50/55cm and he's having trouble getting one of around the same size - most cookers available are 60cm deep.

Does anyone know of anywhere he can get a smaller one?

What is the make of the present cooker?
Question Author

Hi Remy, the cooker we've got already is an Elba.

i've never heard of them

They are an Italian make. Italy is a huge producer of domestic appliances.

This is the link to their site, you will need to get all the other dimensions and it looks as if you may have to research who they supply in the UK.

Perhaps your Landlord is Italian?

I could not find a shallow depth cooker readily available in the UK. Perhaps its time for a kitchen make-over? Or maybe you could use a Baby Belling but they are not a great alternative.

I can only guess, but if you called in a repairer they may possibly condemn the appliance.

Thanks Remy, I wll have a look at that link.

I don't think my landlord can remember where he got the current cooker from and as for a makeover, give me a cat and I wouldn't have room to swing it in our kitchen!

It's very, shall we say, cosy!
