Help please, when restringing a rotary clothesline do you start in the middle and work out, or do you start on the outside and work in? does anyone know please?

Start in the middle....
....and keep as taut as possible as you go. Four hands are a good idea!
I would suggest start from the inside and work outwards.That way you are not trying to lean across threaded line on the outer arms to thread through the holes as you work inwards.Does that make sense?
If you were to start at the outside you would find that keeping it taut would be next to impossible.

Thanks so much folks, will go and do it now, the suns come out.
Try not to get different length sides as you go trying to keep everything tight.

My advice is to sling it, treat yourself to a new one.
Unfortunately, some new ones can become quite "slack" pretty quickly...and you end up having to re-tighten the whole thing anyway!
Ok, my much better advice is to sling it and get a proper clothes line running down the side of your back garden path. That has the advantage of not trying to force itself into your mouth as you struggle to peg clothes on an inside bit of line.
