We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Oh no .. that is so annoying .I've been waiting for a parcel too .I ordered a stick from EBay and it hasn't arrived .They said four day delivery and they had really good feedback so ordered it but it never turned up ..
I emailed them and they said they would send a replacement but that hasn't arrived either ...tut .
It arrived...just as I'd dribbled lentil soup down my chin. I shouldn't complain, it's free delivery and a good price (It's something for baby moondust...do I take it when we visit the new home or save it for xmas? I'm hopeless, I buy things in the sales to put away and end up giving them, it costs me more money in the end)
Lol @ Freddy, it's been lovely since the shower earlier.
had a nice little Italian dinner at a restaurant near the station, with our German neighbours. Took an hour for my penne pasta to arrive but I didn't mind, we were chatting. The Indian place just up the road looked empty, though; the food's good so maybe we should patronise that next time.
Good morning all. Been awake since about 4. One if those nights. I'm ok though. Looking forward to seeing my Steadier next week in Devon.
Going to see my elderly Aunt and Uncle today.
That sounds a really interesting book Shaney. I'm struggling to read an actual book lately. I'm still trying to get through The Great Gatsby. It's all this technology! Still,I'm determined to read it again.
I suppose I could get up now and fetch the 'Derby Daily'
Morning all...I woke quite early too Jude, must be the atmoshere, there was that woody, slightly autumnal smell first thing....or maybe I've got rising damp in me stiks :)
I'd better shuffle, tomorrow looks like being a washout.

Nice sunny morning .
Hello all, sorry I am late, just too busy in mornings. Mr N's back is killing him so he's wimping about, I went out for coffee, then he was still laying on the settee in his pj's and I went mad, I need tobe on my own in the house, so off he trotted after getting dressed first, and putting the fold up bed in the storeroom for me. igrumble grumble into his beard[i]

Then I blitzed hija's room, but there was no vomit in sight, so I must have done a good job in the first place, anyway all nice and clean and shining now. I cleaned bathroom and changed all towels and mats, was just starting bedroom when he came back and needs to lay in the bed - grr well I was not putting on clean sheets for him to sweat into, so bunged the old ones on again! Just done the ironing of hija's bedding.

Just eaten avocados with vingrette, love them.
Just changed throws on settees, and cushion covers, whoa, sweti or what.

Have just seen my friend's little cotswold cottage on Escape to the country. Apparently an American wanted to buy the whole row of cottages and rebuild them brick by original brick in the States, but the residents revolted!!
Hello all, Sis has gone home, back in around a month. The air pressure has been playing old harry with the dogs, they have been very anxious and I have had stonkers of headaches, glad sis was here. Much better today but still headachey. I never used to get them. whinge moan complain.
Same here woofy, something's been playing old Harry with me too, I feel like hell. I've dragged myself round trying to do things to the point I was shaking. I ache so much that it stings.

Me & my sister love escape to the country. I found a very long but very funny thread about it, we were in hysterics at some of the comments...

I'm not with it either .My neck still hurts and I feel as if my head is wobbling on it like a noddy dog....lol.
Mr S loves Escape to Country .I sometimes watch it but make comments ...similar to some on that thread :)
Oh dear you poor lot, I am full of beans, apart from a twinge in thehip occasionally, just want to clean everything in sight. Just made hamburgers for tea which were left over from hija as she didn't eat them all, they were OK!

Mr N is now ensconced in the lounge so I have rapidly changed the bed and it's nice and clean and fresh!

Have to nip out and hang out 2nd throw now and put the bedding on timer.
went out with a neighbourhood group this morning for a guided walk round a bit of the city by the river, then we ended up at a local (to us) restaurant and had a mostly nice lunch except the steak in the steak salad was chewy and removed my double-crown so I now have three gaps in a row on one side. I am keeping my mouth shut while I type so I don't scare you. I am seeing the dentist on Monday anyway, so he can sort it out, and I have made an osteo appointment for Wednesday so he can undo what the dentist's done to my neck. Plan in advance is my motto.
Good morning all, poor jno, honestly is it worth it, either eating meat or going to the dentist?

Mr N is languishing in bed, so I am going out early, gosh it's so hot and sweaty, but the it is August!

Hpe you all had a good night's sleep and are feeling better.

Come on now, a little exercise!!
Good morning all. Its much cooler and nicer here today and my nice man what does is here putting in the dishwasher and doing other jobs. Jno shall I send him over to fix your crown?
tender meat is fine, neti... I need to eat more babies instead of old people.

It is looking like a Raintoday day. 93 minutes to go.

Rain starts in 23 mins here .It's already sloshed down once .Very muggy though .
Crikey Jno .You'll be moving in with the dentist at this rate .
Hope you're all fair to middling .
Yay I sold my watch for a good price, so have bought a new phone cover, even though am getting a phablet on Tues, a wifi extender as mine has gone walkabout?? and another usb stick to record on as that also went walkabout.

am thinking of getting a cotton dress, as I don't usually wear them but find they are so much cooler than shorts and tops.
