finally biting the bullet and putting house on market! bathroom needs tiling where ive put bath in from shower cubicle (currently taped up with pvc sheeting), small hole in wall where bath sunk into wall, needs boarding up and tiling......should i bother doing this work bofore i sell?? seeing as most people would rip it down and start again anyway? rest of bathroom fine, laminate down, painted. carpet in stairway and hall a bit gross, should i re-carpet to sell or just vax?? Any hint and tips would be really welcome!!! got paint left over to touch up walls, and trying to de-clutter at moment. just jet washed patio and plan to tidy up garden. what else should or should i be doing?

absolutley do it - what makes you think people would want to rip it down?
I always changed the sheets before someone came round for a viewing, so it smelt all washing powdery
if people have just bought a house they may not have immediate funds available to do it up. at least get it to look neat. Many people may not even look at a property if the brochure photos dont appeal.
We're looking for a new house at the moment (just put ours on the market) We'll probably end up putting a new kitchen & bathroom in wherever we end up next, but I don't even look at places where the work needs doing straight away, like red says, no funds yet!

I wouldn't bother re-carpeting though - good luck!
