Who's everybody? Did I use it correctly? :-)
could you remind us of the rules ?
tsk, if you'd thought of this 10 years ago you could have written Lynne Truss's book and become rich!
I find it maddening how people who complain about grammar, often don't start sentences with a capital letter and use multiple question marks and exclamation marks where one would do.
Jno, I'm liking you more and more every time I come across you / your post. :-)
Honestly; we're in the middle of a global recession, our troops are dying on a daily basis in hot and nasty sandpits, the country is skint, the NHS is at breaking strain, millions of people have no resources in Pakistan, and there is starvation and desperation across the globe; and you're worried about apostrophes enough to question your own sanity??

Maybe you need to expand your horizon's...
<blows kiss at society>
It's the little things which keep us sane, bobs.... I can do something about apostrophes, I can't do anything about the NHS except keep fighting for my job, and doing the best I can.

bob, one too many question marks in your reply, as you reminded us we are in a recession.
There are many worse things to worry about in life than apostrophes Jules, just find a good book and relax, I`m sure you`ll feel better. Whoops, did I use them correctly??????????????????????????????
Now sit Butch! Be a good boy...
Bob we have to be on top of the game if Markrae comes back he'll have our apostrophes for garters.

I always get mixed up when I should put the apostrophe at the end of a word like e.g Roberts'
I can't always find a good book and relax, because when I am reading (which I do a lot), (this sounds awful) I always have a pencil handy to correct punctuation or missing letters in words. I love to read but something which has been poorly proof-read really spoils it for me. Pendants rule, in our house....
box, you need to get out more . a bit of OCD ? LOL
I'm the same with newspapers boxy, I'd love to write in to tell them where the errors are.
I doubt if schools' teach kids how to use them nowaday's
Pendants....lol
Lady's, may I reccomend www.annsummers.com as you seem to be missing something out of your life if the greatest pleasure you get is proof reading the media

;-)
boxy, pendants should be hung. Or is it hanged?
