I've read the first 3 volumes of his memoirs of the Second World War edited in 1948-1950 and looking for the next 3 volumes edited at the same time. Does anybody know where I can purchase them? I'd prefer the unabridged versions of those years (hardbacks) rather than the abridged later versions (paperbacks).

Have you tried abebooks.co.uk?
Have you tried Amazon (or perhaps eBay, there are some volumes on there at the moment but they might be ones you've already read)?
