...the Bee Gees?

Played a greatest hits CD of their last night, for a bit of a nostalgia-sesh with my bessie mate - had a whale of a time. Tragedy, Saturday Night Fever, Alone, Massachusetts, You win Again - oh what pleasure indeed did we have.

My daughter walked in on a particularly fiery rendition of 'You should be dancing,,,yeah'. She just muttered "oh no you shouldn't". Oh we did laugh.

Tonight folks, it will be....... the Mavericks.

I (we) don't fancy them - well one's dead anyway so even he don't look so good these days. It's just their music, Annoyingly catchy & great for a singalong night.

I make no apologies, we enjoyed ourselves. (The gin helped).
I love them ! Well, I love their music. They were on the music channel the other day singing Staying Alive and my daughter was howling with laughter at their skin tight white trousers and gleaming teeth !
i remember before people downloaded songs I really wanted you win again and walked into woolworths picked up bee gees greatest hits then the boy I really fancied got in queue behind me

What is it about Barry though? Was he castrated as a child?
Question Author
Did it put him off asking you out 4gmn?
I adore them! Ignore the obvious sniping about their image - just chck out the songs they have written, and the success they have had.

If you want to know what that level of success buys - Robin Gibb's house is the Elizabethan manor house where Elizabeth I signed the death warrant of mary Queen Of Scots. He owns the place where English history changed foe ever.

But the music - it is just pure class, and I defy anyone who really understands the appeal of popular music to diss the Bee Gees.
i fancied him, dont think the bee gee cd made any difference
I remember when the miserable gets walked out on the Clive Anderson show!

mass of chew sets, was their best effort IMO

Thanks andy - I don't feel such a weirdo now.

The bee gees gave us the he be gee bees last night and it was great!
secret love is my fave ever but its never really on the greatest hits
The Bee Gees have written many songs for other people, their stuff has been covered by much more recent groups and has been a chart success for them.
I do have a Bee Gees Greatest Hits album but I can't remember the last time I played it.

'message to you' was a bit weird though. Was the singer suposed to be on death row about to be executed or something? Jolly.
The Bee Gees are alright for you old folk i guess!
so what about the younger folk who listen to bands that cover bee gees?
