None - Columbus never went past the West Indies, 'twas Magellan's expedition that went round the world, and even he, poor man, never got past the Philipines.
And out of Magellan's 270 men who set off, only 18 returned.
Magellan had previously been further to the east of the place in the Phillipines where he met his death. This meant he was the first to have sailed round the world, even though he never made it back to Spain.
