Poor smudge lost her sister last Christmas Eve.
That's very true daisy, smudge is one of my favourite ABers.

Hope everything is ok (and her daughter is getting better) at her end and she comes back to let us know.
Oh! I think I remember her saying now that she would not be on here for a while. Hope everything is ok for her.
She did maggie, just before summer i think- but she was back posting merrilly away a couple of weeks ago.
Best wishes to you smudge. I like and remember you, top Ab'er, and hope everything is well with you and yours.
Thinking of you Smudge.... xx
My sis passed on 6th Jan this year, so it's our first Christmas without her.
You and yours will be in my thoughts Smudge... x
Take care ...as Nox said.......top Ab'er.
Dear Neti - thank you so much for your email leading me to this thread, so very kind of you.

My hearfelt thanks to Daisy, Maggie, BOO, Nox & Redbel too, you're all very kind.

It's been a very difficult year for us, starting off with our eldest sister Amy dying suddenly of a heart attack. She had arrived in Spain on 23 Dec last year, to share Christmas with her son, wife & two grandchildren. She was so looking forward to watching them opening their presents, but they found her 'asleep forever' when they took her in a cup of tea at 7:30 Christmas morning. She was cremated two days later & her ashes flown home to England for a service in the Spring. Although it was a peaceful way for her to slip away, all us nine younger siblings feel that we weren't able to say our 'proper' goodbyes to her.

Our daughter Coggles came home from hospital yet again last week, after a 14 day stay & has to go back for results on 22 Dec. There have been so many things wrong with her health wise & hope & pray that the results don't lead to her having to spend even more time in hospital.

She is enjoying being back at home & looking forward to Christmas with her husband, two little girls & the rest of the family (good results permitting).

We're also enjoying taking a breather from looking after our two granddaughters & me doing a 44 mile round trip back & forth to school each day - age has a way of catching up with you after a while!!!

So apart from a roaring sore throat & sneezing my head off for two days, I'm fine!

Thank you all once again & I wish you all a 'Very Happy Christmas & a Healthy New Year 2007!
P.S. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister Redbel - I do understand how you are feeling.

Having to re-type my Christmas card lists & not being able to send Amy the usual 'special sister' one, has been very hard to do. I am trying to think of her sharing a cuppa with her husband & my Mum & Dad, along with the Angels.....
P.P.S. You are such a kind hearted person Neti & deserve the very best - along with a few others on AB.

Wishing you all well & thank you once again. -xx- ^8^
Dearest smudge, Im so very sorry about the loss of your sister. It must have been such a shock to all of you. I too hope Amy is with your parent's as I believe in the afterlife. I also pray that Coggles does'nt have to go back into hospital. This 1st Xmas without Amy is going to be hard for you and your sibling's but please try to take comfort in the thought that she's around you all. You're a loving Mum and Grandmum smudge. One of the best. Much love. Daisy. xx Thanks to Neti for letting us know btw. x
Thank you for your kind words Smudge x
I'm sure Liz will be giving her rendition of The Answer To Everything to mum and dad :)
Give Coggles and your two grandaughters a big hug from me.

Bez xx
