Hi there, I recently bought a jacket from Shelter (the charity shop) that had a UN Logo on the back (the orbit grid & olive leaves) only, the bird logo over the top wasnt a dove, but a pigeon.

Does anyone know what this is or why it is?!

The UN logo does not incorporate a dove as part of its design, however it may have been included by someone as a symbol of its many peacekeeping missions.

Likewise a pigeon may have been substituted to symbolise a different political opinion of the UN.

It's because the UN sh*t all over people!
How can you tell it is a pigeon?

Technically a Pigeon is a Dove (aka a 'rock dove' or 'feral dove' ) but its not the usual dove logo. It's a pigeon. I assure you! It's got pigeon legs, pigeon claws and looks like a feral-dove-pigeon instead of a dove-of-peace.
Sounds like a girl I used to know.
I think I married her once
