Looking at a family called Relf from Shap about 1795-1810, all their kids baptised in Ryde Hampshire, each one baprised there but the family lived in Shap! mmmm cheking for the mum's baptism in Ryde but that's a hell of a way to go to get baptised!

family tradition or something? Terms of a will?
Not gypsies were they.........some of my lot who lived in Dorset always used to go to Hampshire for weddings etc (they were gypsies)

I think it was the mothers home parish actually, she was a Lowis, and there were Lowis families there.
