Can you confirm that she never married and that is her maiden name, or did she marry and you do not have her married name? When did you last know for sure that she was alive? What part of the UK was she born in?

I know Mary Lacey, born about 1928, was not married before 1955, but I don't know whether she ever married. I searched in the U.K., but did not succeed in finding a marriage for her, so unfortunately I don't know.

There were 5 Mary Lacey birth registrations from July 1927 to June 1929, one of them is probably the one you want, but you would need to eliminate the ones you don;t want, the index tells you the district o regitration and the mothers maiden name.
There is then the chance you can find the parents marriage, which will help identify her fathers first name, which you would be able to cross reference on the marriage certificate if she married later on.
What part of England or Wales did she live in?
If you kow she was still alive in 1955 then you can check the marriages after then and see if she married in the same district as her birth.
