Yes. Does this help?
To reminisce for a moment: my rich mate had an Acorn BBC followed by the Sinclair Spectrum. We used to play games such as Elite and Manic Miner plus write very bad BASIC programs. I later inherited a C64 from a girlfriend on which I did nothing but try to get a MIDI box to work on it (the computer not my girlfriend) it never did work and it is still in my loft. The next step was a 286 laptop machine with WFW 3.11 on it (which could not be upgraded so I gave it to a friend of mine: he still uses it) plus a Macintosh Classic (with no hard drive). So I think I had a go on most things but an Aprocot machine.
My 'early computers' were Etch a Sketch, Spirograph, Speak 'n Spell, ZX81, Spectrum, Amstrad and Einstein. Also remember, Vic20, Dragon, Oric, and Jupiter Ace. Oh, did I say Apple? :-)
my uncle has an apricot in his loft. no not the fruit, the computer.
