I'm trying to find the mother of Stanley (born 1929 mother Daniel) and Sidney Benson (born 1932 mother Daniels). As far as I know they are a York family.
I've got Stanley's wedding certificate that gives his father as George William Benson (dec'd) but so far I can't find a George William Benson marrying a Daniel(s)
Any help with anything to do with the Benson/Daniels would be greatly appreciated as I'm losing the will to live...............

a george a benson married an annie daniel Q4 1915 at york
ref 9d 162
I think Annie Daniel was the daughter of Harry and Ann Daniel, he was a steam crabe driver born york 1860, ann the mother according to the 1911 was born in the USA. Annie had a sister Ada b 1894, annie was born 1896. Not really another contender if annie Daniel who married the george a benson was from york. they lived at 8 spencer street, york, there is a George Benson living with his family on the 1911 census in scott street york, 2 minutes away from spencer street. i found his WW1 record on ancestry, he was discharged in 1919 i think. need to maybe check that again. his father was Frederick george parker benson, george was a clerk in 1911 and a clerk in the army. might be a red herring i suppose.

On the son's wedding cert. George William was a builders' labourer.
have you looked at the George W V Benson born 1900/01 at bishopthorpe, son of arthur benson who was on the 1901 in bishopthorpe but i think dead by 1911 as son george william v benson was living with his grandmother and paternal aunt.
George's father arthur was a joiner and carpenter and his grandfather george was a bricklayer. arthur wasn't dead in 1911 just working away but he was widowed.
nope, forget that too unless the son married after 1977, which is when george W V benson died in york.
