annoying xbox

how do i fix my xbox that hardly ever plays games and says they are dirty or damaged. i've got a lense cleaner but sometimes it doesn't even accept that

i have the 1st xbox and also suffer this problem quite frequently, is there any thing that i can do that might correct the problem ?

We had the same problem and itried everything - cleaning disc etc.. but in the end we had to take it back and get a replacement.

Sorry but I think that may be your only option

what happens if the xbox is out of guarantee ? will microsoft still accept responsiblity ?
