I do enjoy cooking but dont have alot of time to look for new recipes and ideas - either for meals, cakes, snacks or anything else! Would like to try other peoples tried and tested, not too complicated, favourites please.

This is 'my can't be bothered' dinner.

1 chicken breast cut into 'cubes'
1 crushed garlic clove
1 chopped red chilli (deseed)
spring onions coarsley chopped
sliced mushrooms

Fry all the above in a little olive oil until cooked and set aside.

Bring to the boil about 1 pint of water, add 2 chicken stock cubes and place some Sharwoods fine egg n00dles in the stock, cook as directed then add the reserved ingredients, mix together and enjoy. Only takes about 10 minutes and tastes great (I think ).

bake of nuke decent size potato, when done cut in half and scoop out insides (careful as you need the skins) and then mash in a sep bowl
fry some onions and bacon till bacon is crispy then drain and mix with the mash , fill the skins with the mixture top with cheese and grill

ob fillings can be substitued with anything that take your fancy,
Fry garlic, chilli and small florets of broccoli in some olive oil for a few minutes - until broccoli is tender.
Add to cooked spaghetti and top with parmesan!
really simple veg for pasta: it's dead simple, check how long your pasta takes to cook - if it's ten minutes, cook what's below while the water's on the boil for the pasta. If your pasta is fresh and only needs a couple of minutes to cook, do below first and let it simmer gently while the pasta is on...
roughly chop an onion, couple of cloves garlic, 2 peppers, 2 courgettes, cut about 15 cherry tomatoes in half. Fry onion and garlic in olive oil, add a teaspoon of paprika and 4 bay leaves, then chuck in the rest of the veg, fry for 5 mins. Alternatively you can put all these ingredients in a roasting tray and put in a hot oven for 30 mins to roast. When cooked it's up to you whether you want to blitz in the blender for smoother sauce, or keep as it is for chunky veg pasta. Depending on your taste, you can grate cheese over (parmesan, cheddar, mozzarella, whatever) - I tend to make cheesy garlic bread on the side, and have a bit of a green salad too.
