laptop problem

hi, i have supposedly the top of the range laptop, a hp dv7 and i am running dj software on it, i cant make a track without cracking sounds, is there anything i can do to stop it

fl studio, i'm trying to make some music, i made a few tracks but, with much hindrance
The most likely cause of clicks and pops is buffer underruns.

unfortunately it didn't seem to work
If you are using the onboard audio for any part of the process you won't get good results.

You would need an external sound card connected by USB or Firewire. Firewire is generally superior for live applications because of its low latency.

Try Reaper too. It has a free trial and even then the demo is only nagware.
As an aside, I make music using fl too. You can still buy some of it at from the bargain bucket at HMV:

i have asio4all and i put it to that and not a sound, ye i have 2 links, i ditched the rest as i feel they were not up to standard

I used to have terrible underrun problems on my PC when running FL and had to export to mp3 just to hear what I was doing at times. Mind you, my PC was about 8 years old lol
