I wondered if it's just a matter of belief or not or is there any proof even the tiniest piece, that the future is out there? What do others think or know, if the past has been and we have proof as much as there is of it and the present is now and happening, then isn't the future there ready and waiting to happen? How could we tell if it is or is it all just a guessing game?
Did you see the recent program by brian cox explaining why time travels in only one direction? It was to do with the second law of thermodynamics and entropy. It kind of explains why the future hasnt happened yet (if you believe him I suppose)
Didn't John Stuart Mill say that everything was predicted from the beginning of time and we are all only fulfilling that prediction. That no matter what we do it was meant to be and that the future is already mapped out anyway?
No I didn't see that prog squitty but I suppose it's more like supposition than fact just like "the big bang" they can't prove either. If someone dreams of something that actually comes true some time later is that coincidence or meaning that the future is there because they've dreamt of it?

I don't know who it was Carole but I think I can live with that, perhaps nothing is random it is all meant and is set out.
Can see your point carmalee. What happens though when someone sets off on a journey now and arrives 2 hours later (given traffic jams, ANPR camera stoppage etc lol) he will be arriving in the future (if he's lucky) though I suppose that will still be now when it happens. Am I confusing everyone? I'm good at that lol.
