Opinion is divided on this game, some love it straightaway, some give up.

It takes some getting into, as the main story line is mission based, with lots of running around what is a very large area.

However, there are plenty of optional missions, and there is a mod available which allows you to drive the vehicles - this makes it less tedious.

Graphically, it is very nice looking but needs quite a high spec PC.

If he has played Deus Ex or similar style game, then he will know what to expect, as it is not a "run and gun" game, but more realistic.

It is worth persevering with, even though it may seem hard to start with.

He plays world of warcraft most of the time. That plays great om my pc, so do you think stalker will play just as good?
Minimum Specs - Windows XP, P4 2GHZ 512MB ram, 10GB free hard disk space, 128MB video card - Geforce 5700/ATI 9600 directx 9.0c compatible and directx compatible sound card.

Recommended specs - Intel Core 2 Duo E6400/Athlon 64 X2 4200+/1GB ram or greater/256MB Directx 9.0c compatible video card - Geforce 7900/Ati X1850.

The above was taken from the back of the box ( I own the game).

If your PC falls somewhere between minimum and recommended you should be ok.
