Do you mean it is a sticky label? If so, DIY store and get some "sticky stuff" remover. It breaks down the adhesive.
I rather think it is printed onto the glass?? maybe wire wool??
I'm guessing the lettering is white glass and that it has been fired on, in which case it will be fused to the base and cannot be removed apart from grinding and polishing. That would probably weaken the pyrex.
I think the genuine stuff has the mark etched (sand-blasted or acid etched) on/into the glass. So that will not come off.
True Gen I have Pyrex jugs years old and the lettering stays put.
You wont get it off if it is genuine Pyrex, as Gen2 says it is fired on
No, it's etched on to Pyrex.
Why would you want to?
That's what I wondered, too, hopkirk!
If the lettering is fired on but it sticks up proud of the surface, it probably could be ground off with a diamond sharpener but it will leave a permanently frosted area unless polished with jeweller's rouge or similar.
As Hopkirk said - why would you want to ?
An OCD about labels perhaps?
it might be a stage prop in a production pre-pirex
Most likely fired but nowadays ultraviolet, very tough heat the glass to 750 degrees. If it's a print it will burn.
If it is just a paper or plastic label then try putting it in the dishwasher on a hot wash. But I think it's more likely to have been etched or fired on
Bet it's Doctor Jekyl and Mr Hyde, is it Joko?
I agree with all the other posters.
It's NOT a label that can be removed,it's most probably etched into the glass,so you won't be able to remove it.
I also would like to know WHY you want to remove it?

its because i was to use it for a more decorative object but it looks crap with the white stuff all over it
