How do I clean the bottom of my iron

suggestion I think you may be better posting this in Home & garden rather than in food & drink !!

i use a bit of very fine wire wool. if there's only a small amount of gunk, i turn the iron up full and rub the affected bit with an old cotton handkerchief i keep specially for the purpose.
