My sister recently had figs in a dessert when we were out for a meal and she really loved them. I then saw a recipe on This Morning for lightly pickled figs which I thought I would make her as an extra xmas present.
I can look up lots of fig recipes by googling them but I wanted to know if anyone has a personal recipe for figs that I might be able to make and give as a gift?

Don't mean to be off-putting, but its really the wrong time of year for doing figs - the ones available now are imported from South America and tend to be far less sweet or flavoursome. Try to get the Turkish / Greek figs at the height of the season next August / September, which are absolutely delicious, also much cheaper then too, and the spiced / pickled figs will also be ready to eat by the time you give them at Christmas!
Not a recipe but lovely and thoughtful sister you are.
