Is there somewhere which ships American food to UK?

I have been to the USA quite a few times, and have become addicted to sunflower seeds and beef jerky. I was wondering if any major supermarkets over there do online shopping but with the option to [rather than their own van deliver to your house in the states] throw all your order in an airmail parcel or something?

I'm looking specifically for David sunflower seeds and Oberto jerky. Have looked at overseas buyers club but their delivery prices are insane. Have looked at wildwestjerky.co.uk but that is quite expensive and I still prefer Oberto. There are various other little bits and pieces too.

Does anyone know whether this is possible, and if not with the big supermarkets, whether there are any _working_ companies which import lots of american food to the UK? have googled but found mostly unworking sites, companies that had ceased trading or sites that didn't list the foods I was after :(

Cheers! :)

I looked on eBay in the UK and found this for you:

AND

OBERTO ORIGINAL BEEF JERKY. 110Grams Item number: 4454624548

I will continue to look for a place that ships directly from the USA (I live in Tennessee, USA) for you if you want me to - just let me know, ok?

I noticed that my local Tesco was selling beef jerky the other day. It was a pound for a plastic vacuum-formed pack though and there wasn't much inside. It was labelled just that 'Beef Jerky'.
This website has a lot of American stuff - and they also sell on eBay - it might be cheaper on eBayUK:

I think you will find that customs here will impound the jerky and possibly the sunflower seeds as well - food imports are very tightly controlled.

You'll need to find a UK source which imports them legally under licence.
Blyss I am an old lady who lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee - where is your husband from in Tennessee and how did you get him that far away from home? :)
LOL mmm nothing like a good jerky
Where do you live Adzy? Garsons Farm in Surrey stock a lot of American foodstuffs due to their proximity to the American School in Surrey but this may be of precious little use to you if you don't live close by

I'm in Durham - slightly too far away really! Thanks anyway though...

Still haven't found anywhere to really buy these...resorted to eBay for the seeds but not sure if they'll get here, customs etc.

nobody any other ideas? surely there are some american ex-pats in the UK which need their jerky and seeds from *somewhere* :)

American soda company has groceries from U S A. But I do not think it sells jerky. My daughter tried the jerky sold at Sainsbury's , she said " not bad"
American Soda Company, sell quite a few American Groceries and they will ship to all parts of the UK. I have not seen jerky on their list , but my daughter loves jerky and she tried the one sold at Sainsbury's and said it was quite good, you can also get the recipe to make it on MSN AMERICA .Com
