bake your own bread from Aldi

I have recently bought bread mix in a oblong tin box [ from Aldi]. you simply add water, leave it to rise in a warm place for 30 mins then bake, I have bought the seeded one and its really good, has anyone tried their cake mix in similar tins ?

How much was it Dee, and is the tin re-useable?

as far as I remember about £1.20 but similar sunflower seaded bread in a speciality bakers costs about £2.10.
Because my hubby is diabetic and liked it I went back and bought:-
1. the Linseed, sunflower & black sesame,2. the Mediterranean herb & tomato and 3. plain sunflower bread mix with a shelf life up to August 2011.
You could reuse the tins but I tore mine down to release the bread, its crusty on the outside but soft inside.
Trouble with Aldi is once its gone you dont often see the item returned.
Also tried and tested from them Bilash specially selected curry sauces, the spices are seperate in the top of the jar, up until now we have always used our own spices from Goa but this tastes really pukka ,tried the Korma & Madras so far, once again I have returned to Aldi and stocked up in case they dont return.
As you ahve probably guessed I am a new shopper to Aldi but love it.

Aldi and Lidl are becoming the Boots and Superdrug of the supermarket world - don't see one without the other. I know of three locations where they are no more than a minute's walk apart. Excellent for bargain hunters.

I am glad to see that the snobbery about shops like this seems to be over,I remember a group of kids having a go at me cos I had a Netto Bag!
Love to try the bread in a bag,sounds like a great idea for people who want to make bread at home that don't have a bread-maker or the ability to knead dough for ages(that's me!)

I love the aldi curry sauces! You must try the jalfrezdi!

I have not tried the bread, but I will. Most of Aldi's foods are delish! Mr Funny goes mad for their croissants. And I recently bought a lemon cake, it is a large slab and very moreish.

We don't have an Aldi but we do have a Lidl and I am using it more and more! Some really good stuff to be had. The snobs don't know what they are missing (My son is one of them!!)

I'll look out for this dee sa (we have Aldi but no Lidl) - but as you say, you like something and they don't have it again. They had some wonderful spicy biscuits at Christmas, when they'd gone they'd gone!

My Lidl is closer than my Aldi's (I know that sounds rude but it is true)

I compare prices between Lidl's and other Supermarkets and I just could not afford to shop in Morrison's at all.

I hope Lidl start stocking the DIY bread, I'd give it a try, sounds delicious.

Don't get me started on the pound shops,they should be called the 10 pound shops cos that's what I always seem to spend in there,so many things I didn't know I needed!Wonderful places.

I looked for that bake your own bread at Aldi last week. They said they hadn`t had it for ages.
