I went to Tesco today and got 2 tubs of B&J for £2 each and they seem to be so much smaller a few years ago. I can now finish a whole tub of Choc fudge brownie and HD Belgian Choc in one sitting!!!

*than a few years ago.
Read this week that a lot of goods are being made smaller because rather than increase the price when the VAT goes to 20% in January, the sizes will be smaller and therefore the price can stay the same.
Question Author
Why can't they just increase the price. At least then you can decide whether you can afford to buy it or not. Most people look at prices rather than weight.
i thought the standard weight was 500gms, if this is true, then check next time you buy
We should start a new thread "Shopping items getting smaller but price stays same or goes up". I've got one. Iceland own brand pizzas. Same price £1 but smaller. Thought I was seeing things! Sainsburys used to sell these lovely breakfast bars. I stopped buying when the packet was the same size but the bar was reduced in size.
According to Tesco website they are 500ml which is the same as they have always been.
You are just greedy, Tigger; well, me too. :-)
unfortunately they are part of Unilever's now......I actually met Ben in Vermont.....and went for the job as Yo Ho, we want a CEO many years ago
