Nope,dont smoke..
something sweet and sharp....orange and lemon sauce?
Question Author
Yep woof i thought that, maybe a plum or rhubarb sauce?
that would make a lovely autumn dish
Black pudding CAN sometimes be greasy, depends just how much fat is in it, but I would suggest something quite tart or sharp, such as gooseberry
i was thinking on the lines of redcurrant gravy

Thanks, the fruit route seems to be the way...
The dish sounds lovely poodi - however my taste buds would not allow me to have any kind of 'sweet' sauce/gravy with this - i'd be looking for a nice chicken and onion flavoured one....

Hi silk the chicken gravy we had with it,didnt do anything,it was kinda boring...
Cranberry, gooseberry - you need something tart to offset the sweetness of the black pudding. It sounds delicious, black pudding adds that certain something to many dishes.
Maybe throw in a bit of garlic poodi....i'm sure that would be nice with chicken and black pudding...

Boxtops - i've never thought of black pudding as 'sweet'...then again i always put salt and HP sauce on it... :-)
