I truly wish I were around in the 60's - so much cooler than today!
A mod,thats still trendy!
punk
None of the above. I was however convinced I was the British version of Madonna, that obviously worked well....
Punk rocker...I was in Destination Anarchy !
Famous in our own street :-)
^ Like a virgin?
The 60s were fabuloso. I had a Mary Quant haircut and dollyrocker dresses, and little flat patent shoes. Life was lovely and shiny and innocent where I was. We didn't do with mods and rockers where I lived, but I must admit that some fifty years later, if I had to be anything, I would be a rocker. Meat Loaf rules in our house.
I think I also would have been a rocker - (I am now). I would trade years of my life to have been around in the 60's
Zakly Snaggles, zakly.
Me too Bobbi, what was yours, mine was a Lambretta 200SX--never mention V..pa.lots of mirrors..lights..chrome roll against bars..back rest ...ex US Army radio aerial..Parka..gauntlet gloves..brilliant wonderful memories..thanks lol
I was a mod - my (then) boyfriend had a silver Lambretta with a long twangy aerial on the back, from which swung a tiger's tail. Remember it Bobbi - you had to have a tiger in your tank?
My OH wasn't a Teddyboy, although one or two of his mates had all the gear wearing beetle crushers with fingertip jackets and the Tony Curtis quiff. We girls were a la Grease (the film) Only remember the film came a lot later than the late 1950's.
None of the above.
PMSL ...That's a top avatar WBA
Remember those great shops that Mary Quant used to have boxy - Biba? I always they smelt like mushrooms! They were probably magic ones
Yeah lardy - Biba was a different person tho, Barbara Hulanicki, I think she's still about. Carnaby Street....
ah, takes me back to the parties at the Liberal Hall (liberal by name and liberal by nature, it was actually a Nissen hut that smelled of spilled beer - and there was lots of that too, remember Party 7s?).
I remember party sevens
Of course boxy - sorry - I always get those mixed up. I remember buying a full length leather coat for £16 in Carnaby Street. It was gorgeous - wore it to death!
..and 'bleedin' Watneys Red Barrel....
