...................filtered over millions of years through the mountains of Bavaria. Best before Nov 2010. As seen on water bottles in Tesco. What do you make of that?

garbage isn`t it.
I make it that, once encased in plastic, it begins to deteriorate.
There is nothing wrong with tap water in this country. No need to truck it hundreds of miles for people to drink out of plastic bottles. My local pizza shop imports its water from Turkey... Crazy. I do use plastic bottles for fruit juice and smoothies when I buy, I am not wholly innocent, but I refill them from the tap with ornery water for the rest of the time.
^ PS our water is filted through the chalk of the North Downs, runs in through tacky local pipes to the limescaly taps in our house - best before ?
I realise it may deteriorate when bottled, but I cannot see why anyone wants to buy water when we pay astronomical amounts for the water that flows freely from our taps. Which is ,as has been said perfectly drinkable.

What I do know is it's far more contaminated than tapwater.
I think the whole point of buying bottle water as opposed to tap water is that bottled water tastes better and also is not hard like you get in some areas.
I have to buy the bottled variety. We don't drink the tap water in Spain.
Agree ... I tried it in Valencia ... not very nice : )
