Ok a silly question about chicken breasts and beef that have all solidfied into huge frozen lumps in their bags

Yes I know now that should've seperated everything Into separate bags but whats the easiest way to separate the meat and chicken? All will be eaten this week but not all today or tomorrow, can you thaw them out just enouh to separate them and refreeze or refridge or could this be dangerous?

I thought as much, A google search shows some say ok, others say the potential for food poisoning's high. Can I dethaw everything tomorrow and cook and freeze to be eaten within a week do you think?
The best is to thaw it all and then make your seperate dishes for example a stew and a curry then freeze the one you need for later in the week, its ok if its been cooked to freeze again.

Thanks mamalynne I need to cook bulk rice, Pasta And Potatoes too will these freeze or better to just cook from fresh?
I personally would cook those freshly as needed

I know it seems to be who you ask,but whichever road you go down,just remember to cook until totally and utterly at bug killing temp,personally slow bubbling simmer for 20 min in enough liquid to cover works for me,but whatever you feel comfortable with(if any)

put them in strong plastic bags, wash a hammer carefully and hit the lumps with the hammer....noisy but it has worked for me...don't do it on your worktop
