anyone know if any supermarkets sell spanish bread? i'm not even sure what it's called or what to look for. am doing delia's black bean chillie next saturday for some friends and would quite like to get something a bit different rather than the usual garlic bread.

i have, and it's very nice. in fact any of the special breads in the supermarkets are very nice. i was just wondering if there are any particularly spanish ones out there, in the way there are italian ones. it's not desperately important, just thought it would make a change and kind of go with a chillie (being mexican, who speak spanish...)

i had a realy nice sundried tomato bread, it was from the co-op i think
If you know what it is that goes into "Spanish Bread", then why not try baking some of your own ?

trouble is, i don't know what goes into spanish bread or what it looks like and i've never seen any in the shops. don't know if i could be bothered to actually make some either to be honest, even if i did know. sundried tomato bread sounds nice, i've recently had some fancy bread with chopped olives in and that was good too. i'm sure i'll find something nice, thanks for all your help :)
