i once made made a chocolate fondue and when the fruit ran out, we dipped pickled onions which were actually surprisingly nice :)
yep, bits of any raw veg and cooked meat are lovely dipped in a cheese fondue. you could try broccoli, cauliflower, celery, carrot and of course, pickled onions.
