does anyone know where I can buy Channel Island tomatoes please? I can only get polish , dutch or spanish, and they are not as sweet as the Jersey or Guernsey ones. amy ideas appreciated. Thankyou

These guys may be able to help you,I can't find a website for them,but a phone call(same as UK national rate) may put your mind at rest,or a letter if not.

thanks I will try to ring them.

I was told by one of the green grocers near me it is because of the common market , they are not allowed to sell them to us. but they sell Jersey new potatoes so I can't understand this. If I get in touch with your contact number maybe they can tell me. Thanks again.
The other alternative, of course, if you want decent flavoured tomatoes, is to grow your own if you've got the space in your garden or in some containers. The variety Gardeners Delight is a large cherry size tomato which is both deliciously sweet and tangy and is reckoned to be most amateur growers' favourite. Most supermarket tomatoes are unnamed varieties and even at the height of summer have very little taste or flavour.
