I have just bought a wooden chopping board and it is untreated. Do I need to treat it and, if so, what should I use please?

How to treat wood?

I thought this was a rude post.

I'll go back to the "Good Morning" thread.
nah---- totally serious one-sorry JJ
Ignore that lot kathyan, it should be fine, just make sure you scrub it well.

Thanks wb. I thought I would have to oil it or something!
ignore waterboatman kathyan-he is being jolly
--could be a nice day for the seaside--take a few pics of you both there and post them on here-that would be nice-so it would
Not necessary Kathyan. Agood wooden board should last you a lifetime if it's looked aftr properly. If you oil it theoil will get into your food. just give it a good scrub and let it dry. in days gone by, all the food prep was done on the kitchen table (usually of deal) and was always scrubbed white after use.
lol beejay. stop confusing the poor girl.
