Corned beef hash I thought

i would make one , normally a cheap ,
easy meal but i was really suprised as
the price of a can of corned beef has
rocketed , so why, is it another
supermarket rip off ?

Look at the back of the tin. If it says 'made in Brazil' (or anywhere outside the UK), there is your answer.

It is costing supermarkets more to buy in products because of the low value of the pound. Most corned beef in the uk is imported.

I know, it`s really shot up, we love corned beef hash, I`ve started buying the smart price ones, but still dear.

I thought how much it had gone up when i was buying sliced corned beef,for a toasted sandwich the other day,used to have them at weekend as a change from what we have all week, but might start having cheese instead lol

Tesco have Princes Corned Beef 200g at half price (84p) until 3rd March.

Wish I`d seen that, just done a tesco online shop, and didn`t look at corned beef, Even the shop`s own brands are about �1.30 now.
