Can you freeze mash potatoes and is it any good ?

yep you can,but i always think its not the same when defrosted!!!
Frozen mash is fine for thickening stews or casseroles, or topping a cottage/shepherd's pie
I've never made mashed potato, too lazy and the Co-op do it too well, but you can certainly buy frozen mashed potato (Aunt Bessie brand) and it microwaves up lovely. Great with salad cream and white pepper.
And you can make a chocolate cake with it apparently!!!

yes you can & yes it's absolutely fine! Make a large batch & use a potato scoop to portion out & 'open' freeze on a tray ( just means putting portions on a tray & freezing them like that ) Once frozen, loosen off tray and either place in a freezer bag or freezer box xxx
Forgot to say, best method of reheating is to microwave!

when defrosting & heating just add a knob of butter & a little milk & it's fine
