Serious question.

I just wondered what is the longest you can go without eating or drinking?
What happens to your organs and which breaks down first?

* Damage to muscle tissue (after approximately 4 weeks)
* Weakening of bones (after approximately 4 weeks)
* Hallucinations / Dementia (after approximately 3 weeks)
* Potentially permanent brain damage (after approximately 4 to 5 weeks)
* Potentially permanent damage to internal organs (after approximately 4 to 5 weeks)

St John's Ambulance teach that the body can survive
3 weeks without food
3 days without water
3 minutes without oxygen.

It's a rubbish generalisation as some people can defy the odds.
I saw a programme at Xmas about a teenager who was trapped in a car with no food or water for 8 days.
I nearly drowned in my own saliva watching others because i couldnt eat on christmas day !
