Specially bought it for our late xmas dinner,to do the roasties with,beautiful roasties but i could have used my usual beeef dripping and got the same results and so much cheaper!!!

Spread it on toast with salt & pepper = melts in the mouth, delicious!

It's not meant for general roasting - its a luxury spread and excellent for raspy throats.
i see that many of you use goose fat for the first time.... it is not enough just to put potatoes, and goose fat together any just put it in then oven... it is all about how to prepare potatoes b4 you put them in the oven...they must be cooked in the watter, (for very short time)they must be large chunks, and then they must be sprinkled with the flour and rosemary or thyme. then the goose fat must be very very hot in the oven b4 you put those potatoes in..(sorry for my English, I'm a foreigner)

goga i know this,of the right type of spud,parboiling then drying out lightly on a high heat till rough around the edges,sprinkling of flour or even semolina,did all of these maybe i thought ii would get a really flavoursome roastie,but not any different from my usual dripping!!!!
